House of Neighborly Service was founded in 1961 by the Loveland Council of Churches with the united vision of creating one central location to meet the emergency needs of individuals and families facing crises.

Over the last 60 years, with the support of the community as volunteers, donors, staff, and partners this united vision has impacted thousands of individuals and families throughout the decades.

This vision could not have been more insightful as our communities have grown.

Join us in celebrating and honoring the past as well as preparing for and serving the generations to come.

About The Future

As we celebrate the 60th Anniversary of House of Neighborly Service (HNS), it is with great anticipation and expectation that, in the decades to come, HNS will play a vital role in providing stability and support to countless numbers of people: children, youth, families and individuals from all walks of life. As a community-based organization, HNS brings individuals, businesses, organizations, and churches of south Larimer County together to meet critical basic needs of our neighbors that are experiencing low-income or situational crises. It is easy to understand that crises and difficulties can happen to anyone and at any time, which can result in needing a helping hand in that time of need. Over the years, as our community experienced regional crises such as a flood, fire, and a global pandemic, HNS provided a vital cog in the wheel of response and recovery to individuals and families in our region. For the last 60 years, and looking forward to 60+ more years, HNS has been and will be a place where community comes together to offer help for today… hope for tomorrow.
